Aadikavi Bhanubhakta Campus is the largest and most reputable institution for higher education in the Tanahun district, providing students with a diverse range of academic programs and fostering a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. Located in Vyas Municipality, Ward No. 1, Bigyan Chaur, Damauli, the district headquarters, the campus sits at a key geographic point—150 km west of Kathmandu and 50 km east of Pokhara, making it accessible to students from surrounding regions.

Established in 1987, Aadikavi Bhanubhakta Campus is the oldest educational institution in the area, set up with the primary goal of delivering quality, accessible education to students from diverse backgrounds. Over the years, it has played a pivotal role in empowering students from downtrodden, indigenous, marginalized, and educationally disadvantaged communities, ensuring they receive the opportunity to pursue higher education.

The campus attracts students not only from Tanahun but also from neighboring districts such as Syangja, Kaski, Gorkha, Lamjung, and beyond. Many students from various parts of Nepal, who come to Tanahun for different purposes, also choose Aadikavi Bhanubhakta Campus for their higher education.

The campus offers a wide array of programs from Bachelor’s to Master’s Degree levels across its three faculties: Humanities, Management, and Education. Specialized programs such as BICTE (Bachelor of Information Communication Technology in Education) and BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) are also available, all at affordable tuition rates, making higher education accessible to a broad demographic. Each year, the campus enrolls more than 1,700 students, and since its inception, over 5,000 students have successfully graduated.

The campus is managed by a Campus Management Committee, elected by the General Assembly, which consists of over 3,000 members, including social workers, education planners, local donors, academicians, and representatives of local bodies. Their dedicated efforts, combined with the public’s support, have been instrumental in the development and success of the campus.

Aadikavi Bhanubhakta Campus is proud to have been twice accredited with the prestigious Quality Assurance and Accreditation(QAA) certificate from the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Nepal, first in 2013 and reaccredited again in 2023, reinforcing its commitment to academic excellence. The campus is supported by a team of 58 dedicated teaching staff and 17 administrative staff, who work collaboratively to provide a supportive learning environment.
