Bardiya Hospital, located in Ward No. 6 of Gulariya Municipality in Bardiya district, is connected to the postal road 82 years ago in 1940 AD under the name of Tri-Juddha Hospital. As the only referral center of this district, this Bardiya Hospital has been providing quality health services by making maximum use of limited resources. Since 2071.072, it has been upgraded from a district hospital to a 50-bed hospital. Currently, this hospital has a staff of 15 doctors, including 10 specialist doctors, 4 medical officers and 1 dental surgeon. Although the hospital has a total staff of 59 after the upgrade to 50-bed, due to the shortage of manpower according to the structure, the service has been continued by hiring health workers and other employees on contract from the resources of the Hospital Development Committee. Currently under the Lumbini Provincial Government, this hospital provides outpatient services (except public holidays), emergency services (24 hours), laboratory services (24 hours), inpatient services (24 hours), surgery services, free maternity services, dental services, gender-based violence counseling and treatment services, safe abortion services, physiotherapy services, endoscopy services, sickle cell anemia testing services, radiology services, obstetrics and gynecology services, services with full or partial exemption from the social service unit, treatment services for poor citizens (sickle cell anemia), free screening programs for tuberculosis detection in children, and a senior citizen ward.
