Located in the central-southern part of Kailali district of Sudurpaschim Province, this Bhajani Municipality is bordered by Tikapur Municipality and Joshipur Municipal Corporation to the east, Kailari Municipal Corporation to the west, Ghodaghodi Municipality and Joshipur Municipal Corporation to the north, and Tikuniya and Belraya of the neighboring friendly country of India, Uttar Pradesh, to the south. The Government of Nepal announced on 2073-11-27 by merging the former Bhajani Trishakti Municipality and Thapapur Municipal Corporation. The center of this Bhajani Municipality is the office of the former Bhajani Trishakti Municipality. Divided into 9 wards, this municipality has a total area of 176.25 sq km. and a population of 51,845 (females 26,129, males 25,716).

The Mohana River in the south, the Kandra and Kanda rivers flowing through the municipality, and the Patharaiya River flowing from the east are the sorrows and opportunities of this municipality. Dolphins, an endangered aquatic animal in the world, can be seen in the Mohana River in the southern part of Ward No. 3 and 8 of this municipality, so it seems that it can be developed as a tourist area. Similarly, the lakes within the municipality, especially the Laukahabhoukaha Lake in Ward No. 4 Bijulia, have the potential to be developed as a tourist area. Kailali district has the highest number of floods, erosion, and landslides, causing hundreds of bighas of crops to be lost every year, leading to food shortages and the settlements themselves are at risk.
