In order to develop the institutions at the local level, discourage non-community-based savings and credit cooperatives, and move the cooperative movement in the right direction by removing the anomalies and anomalies that have appeared in the cooperative sector, an interactive program on the topic of “Distortions, anomalies and their elimination in savings and credit cooperatives” was organized by Siddhi Ganesh Savings and Credit Cooperative Organization on Chaitra 13, 2056 BS. In the same program, a task force was formed to study the feasibility of the district association as a collective umbrella organization in the district. On Chaitra 31, 2058 BS, a report was submitted in the presence of the former central president of NEFSKUN, Shri Kailash Bhakta Pradhanang, and a 7-member ad hoc committee was formed under the coordination of Shri Rajendra Dumru. The ad hoc committee organized an initial meeting to form the association on Asad 8, 2059 BS and formed a 7-member board of directors under the chairmanship of Shri Rajendra Dumru, with the name District Savings and Credit Cooperative Association Ltd. Bhaktapur. After a long period of time, after going through various ups and downs, the association was formally established on Baisakh 21, 2062. Currently, this association is operating from its own office building in Suryabinayak, Ward No. 8, Suryabinayak Municipality, Bhaktapur District and is providing continuous services to its members.
