The Community Family Welfare Association (CFWA) was established in 2053 BS (1996) in Deodiha VDC ward no. 8 of Dhanusha district as a Community Based Organization (CBO). This establishment was supported technically and managerially by the Family Planning Association of Nepal, under its long-term sustainable plan for continued Family Planning services at the community level.

CFWA was later registered under the District Administrative Office (DAO) on the 13th Asar of 2053 BS in Dhanusha. The organization currently has its head office at Janakpur Municipality ward no. 12, where it operates from its own building. Since its inception, CFWA has been involved in significant population and development initiatives including education, reproductive and environmental health, youth and women empowerment, child protection, capacity building, skill-based training, and income generation activities. These programs are conducted in rural municipalities, municipalities, and former VDCs. CFWA working in Education, Health, Child Poverty, Child Protection, Gender and Social Inclusion and Social Protection. 

CFWA remains committed to working for the benefit of the poor, Dalit, women, and children in the community. We are proud to inform you that our organization has now crossed 27 years of dedicated service.
