Gaindakot Municipality is located in the eastern part of Nawalparasi (B.S.P.) district, which was formed by splitting off the former Nawalparasi district in central Nepal. It is located 150 km southwest of Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, and 130 km south of Pokhara, the capital of Gandaki Province. It is bordered by Chitwan District (Bharatpur Metropolitan City) to the east and south, Devchuli Municipality and Bulingtar Rural Municipality to the west, and Tanahun District to the north. It is bordered by the Narayani River and Chitwan National Park to the east and south, the Kaligandaki River to the north, and the Jharahi River to the west, so it can be called a river-bound municipality. The office of this municipality is located at 27.7049 degrees latitude and 84.3912 degrees longitude.
