HUBCL was established on 2056 B.S. as a private limited company by a highly esteemed team of professionals. It was converted into public limited company on 17th Kartik, 2071. With an aim to foster potential hydropower sector of Nepal, HUBCL is developing two hydropower projects in Nepal: Upallo Khimti hydropower project (UKHP), 12 MW & Upper Khimti-II hydropower project (UKHP-II), 7 MW over Khimti Khola. Both projects is situated in Chhuchure V.D.C of Ramechhap district, Nepal. Both UKHP and UKHP-II is under construction phase and are projected to be completed within two years. The preliminary works required for the project is completed and hydromechanical, civil and electromechanical contractor are working at a good pace for the timely completion of the project. HUBCL central office is located in Subidhanagar, Tinkune, Kathmandu.

The authorized capital of our Company is NRs.990 million & issued capital is Nrs.470 million. Our Company has more than 1400 shareholders. Upallo Khimti, 12 MW & Upper Khimti-II, 7 MW got the financial closure on 23^rd Mangsir 2071 & 3^rd Chaitra 2071 respectively from the consortium of four Banks - Nabil Bank Limited, Everest Bank Limited, Nepal Bank Limited., & Ace Development Bank Limited. Both the projects are financed with 3:1 debt to equity ratio. Debt provided from the consortium of four banks are NRs.1,435,000,000.00 for Uppalo Khimti Hydropower Project and NRs.924,000,000.00 for Upper Khimti-II Hydropower Project. Nabil Bank Ltd. is the Lead Bank among the four bank.
