Former IME General Insurance Limited was established and commenced its operation from February 1st 2001 having it’s paid up capital NRS. 1803.751 Million. Former Prudential Insurance Company Ltd has started its operation from June. 20th, 2002 after its registration with the office of the Company Registrar, approved by Controller of Insurance having its paid up capital NRS. 1225.58 Million. Now both Company has merged and started joint operation from 10th May 2023 in the name of IGI Prudential Insurance Ltd.

Company has now paid up capital of NRS. 3029.33million. It is highest paid up capital among the general insurance companies in Nepal. Company is promoted by a team of reputed industrialist and business houses involved in various fields like Banking, Trading, Energy, Automobiles, Tourism, Hydropower etc.

As a merged entity, IGI Prudential Insurance Limited will continue to provide standard general insurance services with new synergy and continuing to grow significantly and will be contributing to Nepal’s financial general insurance service sector.
