After the promulgation of the Constitution of Nepal, after the establishment of Bagmati Province in accordance with the spirit of federalism envisioned by the Constitution, this Infrastructure Development Office was established under the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development,  Bharatpur ,  Chitwan  , with the objective of formulating policies, formulating plans, developing and monitoring physical infrastructure related to various ministries and provincial level infrastructure by exercising the powers granted by Article 57 and Schedule 6 of the Constitution of Nepal . This office mainly works on roads, motorways and suspension bridges under the provincial government.

Objectives

• To expand economic activities and increase the effectiveness of service delivery through effective, sustainable, reliable, safe, environmentally friendly and low-cost transportation services, as well as to expand relations between the federation and the provinces, provinces and provinces, and provinces and local levels.
• Develop alternative transportation systems using advanced technology.

Goal

To expand, promote and protect a convenient, organized, easy and accessible transportation network by building safe physical infrastructure.
