Located in Taulihawa, Kapilvastu Hospital was established 4 decades ago through the joint efforts of the Government of Nepal, doctors and health workers. On BS 2029/09/01, this hospital was established as Prithvi Bir Hospital with the assistance of the Government of India under the Panchayat system and later, after the establishment of a province in Nepal, it was renamed Kapilvastu Hospital.
