KIST Medical College Pvt. Ltd affiliated with the Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University was established in BS 2062 (2006 AD) and is located in Mahalaxmi Municipality-1, Imadol, Lalitpur. The College is run by the Board of Directors and its Executive Committee. It has its own full-fledged teaching hospital with 300 beds and a separate dental hospital.

The College is led by Chairman, Er Ashish Thapa and Managing Director, Dr Abishek Thapa with other Executive committee (EC) Members; Principal, Prof. Dr. Balman Singh Karki; Chief Administrative Director, Mr. Keshab Raj Acarya; Hospital Director, Prof. Dr. Suraj Bajacharya; Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Mr Akshaya Prasad Gautam; and Chief Operations Officer(COO), Mr Amish Pathak, Deputy Hospital Director Prof. Dr. Kabita Hada Batajoo, Academic Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Kishore Singh Basnet and BDS Coordinator, Dr. Rosha Shrestha; Matron and other officials are invited in the meeting as and when required. Each member of the EC has been given individual responsibility for smooth operations of hospital services and academics. The EC usually meets weekly for taking decisions on policy matters.
