Shree Lumbini Gyan Niketan Secondary School was established in 2046 B.S. It has thirty two years long history. It is situated in Lumbini province Rupandehi district Kanchan Rural Municipality and ward no.5 Gargare. It is in 35 KMs distance from Butwal and it is till now only one community school to runs science stream in Kanchan Rural Municipality. The school runs +2 science, management and education stream.

This school is one of leading schools of Kanchan rural municipality. There are about 1,000 students from nursery to class 12. There are both English medium classes and Nepali medium classes in a parallel way. Most of the teachers in this school are master degree holders. It has been servicing the needs of students who prefer science from different districts like Kapilvastu, Gulmi, Palpa, Baglung, Arghakhanchi and including our own district Rupandehi.

All the rooms are wide enough with fans and electric balls. Likewise there are CCTV cameras in +2 Classes. Similarly there is a canteen, a big science lab, computer lab, cycle stand and different corts for sport. Till now five students are able to register their MBBS, three in Engineering, seven in BSc.Ag in different district of Nepal. One student has been studying food tech in Delhi India. All the above mentioned sectors and our students performances on it prove that we are able to give qualitative and competitive education.
