The Ministry Of Economic Affair of the Government of Sudurpashchim Province was established on 14th February, 2018 and is responsible for the formulation of provincial economic policy, revenue policy, public expenditure policy, economic procedure, budget formulation, reserve fund management, accounting control and economic development policy, coordination and cooperation with the central government and non-government sectors, financial and monetary sector along with the management of related activities pertaining to the short-term and long-term expenses of the provincial government.

The ministry was inaugurated by the Chief Secretary of the Sudurpashchim Province Mr. Lakshmi Ram Paudel in due presence of Province Secretary (Economic Affairs) Mr. Shanker Krishna Shrestha. With the formation of the first province government Honorable Minister Mr. Jhapat Bahadur Bohra, took over the duties of the ministry on 18th February, 2018. At present, the total number of designations of the Ministry is 48.

This Ministry is currently located at Ward No. 4 Naya Bazar of Dhangadhi, Kailali.

• Maintain overall economic stability of the province and ensure stability in prices.
