Mithila Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. is a licensed 'D' class microfinance institution in Nepal, established on November 23, 2008 (Mangsir 8, 2065 B.S.) and headquartered in Dhalkewar, Dhanusha. Registered under the Company Act 2063 and licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank, it operates across eight districts in Madhesh Province, including Siraha, Saptari, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Rautahat, Bara, and Parsa. The institution focuses on providing collateral-free microloans under group guarantees to economically disadvantaged rural families, aiming to enhance their participation in economic and social activities. By delivering financial services directly to the doorsteps of marginalized women, Mithila Laghubitta plays a significant role in poverty alleviation and promoting financial inclusion in rural Nepal.

  • To create social, economic and community awareness among disadvantaged rural women through training and community development programs.
  • To make the rural economy capable and strong by mobilizing the labor, skills, resources and capital available in rural areas to the maximum extent.
  • To increase women's participation in economic and social activities by providing loans to rural women on a collective basis without collateral.
  • To provide necessary loans to the underprivileged to promote and operate businesses such as agriculture, trade, industry, etc. in rural areas.
