Modi Jalvidyut Company Limited (MJCL) is a subsidiary of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), established in 2017 to lead the development of strategic hydropower projects in Nepal.

MJCL is currently implementing two key run-of-river projects in the Annapurna region: the Upper Modi ‘A’ Hydroelectric Project (42 MW) and the Upper Modi Hydroelectric Project (18.2 MW). These projects aim to enhance national energy security through clean, reliable, and sustainable electricity generation. With a strong focus on engineering integrity, environmental compliance, and stakeholder collaboration, MJCL is committed to supporting Nepal’s long-term goals in energy development and economic growth.
