Nagad Savings and Loan Cooperative Society Ltd. was established on March 7, 2067 with the aim of supporting the society and community in a simple and easy way by uniting individuals and communities belonging to different religions, cultures, castes, professions and businesses, developing the habit of saving regularly to make them self-reliant, thrifty and self-reliant, and encouraging members to invest their accumulated savings in productive sectors. Gandhi Savings and Loan Cooperative Society Ltd. is a single-purpose savings and loan cooperative. It collects savings among its share members, provides fixed interest on savings and invests in loans at affordable interest rates, adhering to the cooperative principles and the principles of the International Savings and Loan Association. This organization has been operated with a fully democratic model and practice, embracing the belief that “savings is the first step to development”.

The main goal of this organization is to provide access to capital formation, its mobilization and employment to those with low income levels, and to systematically assist in reducing and eliminating this serious condition of poverty.

Objectives

The main objective of this organization is to improve the economic and social conditions of the members by collecting small savings among the communities that do not have access to banks and financial institutions but are trying to improve their economic situation, and to end economic discrimination and establish social justice in the society.
