Nepal Forest Corporation Limited is a fully owned (A) category company of the Government of Nepal. This company is an extension of the former Timber Corporation of Nepal (established in 2017 as per the Companies Act) by increasing its capital and incorporating the Nepal Forest Products Development Committee as per the Companies Act, 2063. Before its establishment, TCN had also worked as a project since 2011. Its main function is to systematically harvest, collect, chop and supply the general public with wood and firewood produced from forest management, and this organization has more than 50 years of experience in this work.

 The Corporation has long-experienced employees, organizational structure from the provincial level to the center and physical infrastructure and resources for operation, public trust in the organization, as well as the fact that the Government of Nepal, the Ministry of Forest and Environment, the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Commerce and Supplies, the Forest Department, the Ministry of Finance, the Department of Industry, the National Commercial Bank are its shareholders and the authorized capital is 500 million and it is operating as an “A” category organization.
