The Charanawoti Hydroelectrical Project (CHP) is located in Bhimeshwor Municipality ward no 8, 9 & 11, Katakuti and Magapauwa Village Development Committee of Dolakha District in the Central Development Region of Nepal. This project is located 15 km East from Charikot city. Geographically, the basin is located between latitudes 27º37'50" and 27º39'20" and between longitude 86º00'58" and 86º02'35.5". The river basin extends up to 7555 masl. The annual generation of energy is 20.383 GWh with installed capacity of 3.520 MW.
