With the motto of facilitating the timely quality education to the children of police personnel at affordable cost, Nepal Police School was established in 2040 B.S. in Sanga, Kavre during the tenure of late IGP D.B. Lama. Not only with the objective of expanding the police school in five development regions of the country but also keeping view in the effectiveness of NPS-Sanga, Belchautara Tanahun in the western development region and Ghorai, Dang in mid – western region in 2041 B.S., Dhangadi, Kailali in far – western development region in 2042 B.S., Dharan, Sunsari in the eastern development region in 2045 B.S. and Garuda, Rautahat in the Central development region 2058 B.S. Likewise, Nepal Police School Samakhusi, Kathmandu was established as the subsidiary of Nepal Police School, Sanga to facilitate the youngest students of police personnel.

Nepal Police School is one of the non-profit institutions set up by Nepal Police Welfare Fund with great visionary idea of producing ideal citizens through effective facilitation of 21st century education at affordable cost for the children of police personnel as well as general public. Our motto is to promote the holistic development of students and help them grow as an able, competitive and virtuous human being.

Upon the Federal restructuring of Nepal, as per the objective of expanding Nepal Police School in all provinces, NPS-Chitwan got approval from Nepal government (council of ministers) on 2075-02-27 under Bagamati province. Later, after the discussions held with various concerned bodies in different stages, NPS-Chitwan got established in 2075 B.S. in Bharatpur-14, Chitwan where Shree Rastriya Aadharbhut Vidhayalaya was running previously. With great initiation of academic activities from first grade to fifth grade in the established year, NPS-Chitwan is upgraded to Ten grade this academic year (2081 B.S.). While on full operation, we will have classes run till grade 12.

नेपाल प्रहरीका सन्ततीहरुलाई सर्वशुलभ शुल्कमा समयानुकल गुणस्तरीय शिक्षा प्रदान गर्ने उद्देश्यले तत्कालीन प्रहरी महानिरीक्षक डि.बी. लामाज्यूको कार्यकालमा नेपाल प्रहरी कल्याणकोषबाट संचालन गर्ने गरी काभ्रेपलञ्चोक जिल्लाको साँगामा वि.स. २०४० सालमा नेपाल पुलिस स्कुलको स्थापना गरि नेपाल प्रहरीको कल्याणकारी कार्यक्रम अन्तर्गत विद्यालय शिक्षालाई समाहित गरिएको थियो ।

समयक्रम अनुसार साँगा प्रहरी विद्यालयको प्रभावकारीतालाई मध्यनजर गरी देशका पाँच विकास क्षेत्रमा प्रहरी विद्यालयलाई विस्तार गर्दै लैजाने उद्देश्यले २०४१ सालमा पश्चिम क्षेत्रको वेलचौतारा, तनहुँ र मध्यपश्चिम क्षेत्रको घोराही दाङमा, २०४२ सालमा सुदुर पश्चिम क्षेत्रको धनगडी कैलालीमा, २०४५ सालमा पूर्व क्षेत्रको सुनसरी धरानमा र २०५८ सालमा मध्य क्षेत्रको गरुडा रौतहटमा प्रहरी विद्यालयको स्थापना गरियो भने काठमाण्डौ उपत्यका स्थित प्रहरी कर्मचारीहरुका स-साना सन्ततिहरुको अध्ययनलाई सहजता प्रदान गर्न नेपाल पुलिस स्कुल साँगाको सहायक स्कुलको रुपमा २०५५ सालमा सामाखुसी काठमाण्डौंमा प्रहरी विद्यालय स्थापना गरियो ।

नेपाल प्रहरी कल्याणकारी कोषबाट संचालन गरिएका विद्यालयहरूमा विद्यार्थीहरूलाई समय सापेक्ष, युगानुकुल र गुणस्तरीय शिक्षा प्रदान गरिनुका साथै मानवीय मूल्य, राष्ट्रिय संस्कृति, सामाजिक मूल्य मान्यताहरूको सम्वर्दन गरि बदलिँदो विश्व परिवेशमा समायोजन हुन सक्ने सक्षम र प्रतिस्पर्धी, चरित्रवान एवम नैतिकवान नागरिकमा रुपान्तरण गर्न सक्ने ब्यक्ति उत्पादन गर्ने दायित्व बोकेको गैह्र नाफा मूलक संस्थागत बिद्यालय भएको हुँदा अधिकांश अभिभावक तथा विद्यार्थीहरूको प्रमूख आकर्षणको केन्द्र बनेको छ । सिङ्गो राष्ट्र नै संघीय संरचनामा गएको र नेपाल प्रहरीको विद्यमान संगठनात्मक स्वरूपलाई समेत संघीय संरचनामा पुनर्गठन गर्न लागिएको वर्तमान समयमा नेपाल प्रहरीको विद्यालयहरूलाई पनि सबै प्रदेश स्तर सम्म बिकास र बिस्तार गर्दै लैजाने उद्देश्य अनुरूप नेपाल सरकार (मन्त्रिपरिषद) को मिति २०७५।०२।२७ गतेको निर्णय अनुसार बागमती प्रदेशमा प्रदेश स्तरीय नेपाल प्रहरी आवासीय माध्यमिक बिद्यालय स्थापना गर्ने निर्णय कार्यान्वयन गर्न बागमती प्रदेश अन्तर्गत चितवन जिल्लालाई छनौट गरि स्कुल स्थापना कार्यान्वयन गर्ने उद्देश्य नेपाल प्रहरी संगठनको रह्यो । सोही बमोजिम उपयुक्त स्थान छनौटको सिलसिलमा जिल्ला चितवन भरतपुर महानगरपालिका वडा नं. १४ शान्तिपुरमा संचालित राष्ट्रिय आधारभूत सामुदायिक बिद्यालयलाई भरतपुर महानगरपालिका सँगको समन्वयमा आवश्यक प्रकृया पुरा गरि नेपाल पुलिस स्कुल संचालनार्थ भोगाधिकार प्राप्त गरी शैक्षिक वर्ष २०७६ सालमा कक्षा १ देखि ५ सम्म पठन-पाठन लगायत शैक्षिक गतिबिधिहरू संचालनमा आएको ब्यहोरा जानकारी गराउँछौं । वि.स. २०८१ सालमा कक्षा १० संचालन रहेको साथै पूर्ण आकारमा संचालन हुँदा यस स्कुलमा कक्षा १२ सम्म अध्ययन अध्यापन गराईने छ ।
