PARDEP-Nepal is a non-profit making, non-political, non-governmental organization registered with the District Administrative Office, Dhankuta, and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC) aligned to the Institution Registration Act (1977) and the Social Welfare Act (1993). It was established in 1995 by a team of committed and professional youths from different districts to play a significant role in promoting inclusive rural development in line with a human rights-based approach ensuring rights to all.

 

Vision

PARDEP-Nepal envisages a society, which is economically self-reliant and equitable, morally civilized, socially just, environmentally sound and genuinely democratic.

 


 

Mission

The mission of PARDEP is to conduct an extensive, intensive, and participatory process for equitable and sustainable development through the empowerment of the poor, the disadvantaged, and the women.

 


 

Goal

PARDEP aims to improve the quality of life of the poor, the disadvantaged, and the women.

 


 

Objectives

The objectives of PARDEP are as follows:

  • To make people aware of their rights, duties, and responsibilities.
  • To help people join the mainstream of development and poverty reduction through social mobilization.
  • To empower and build the capacity of women and rural poor people for their participation in the development process.
  • To advocate and lobby for peace, governance, and social justice.
  • To study and publish reading materials on issues related to social change and development.
