Pragatishil Yuwa Samaj (PYS) is a non-governmental, non-profitable and non-religious organization. It was registered under district administrative office Bajhang at March 29, 2004 according to social welfare act 2034. A club formed by youths of Rithapata VDC (now a ward of Jayprithivi Municipality), used to organize, manage sports tournament and volunteered to conduct health camps organized at the hospital and run activities for youth engagement.This organization has been working in different sector such as, Health, sanitation, disability, woman and children, gender and income generation, Mental health etc. by partnering with various I/NGO’s and governmental organization since 2004. PYS is working one municipalities and 6 rural municipalities of Bajhang District and going another District.

Through coordination and collaboration with stakeholders, and by mobilizing and empowering local communities, rights and opportunities for self-employment are ensured.

Goals:

• To increase and enhance economic, social and educational status of target group through identification, proper management and utilization of local resources.
• To initiate and ensure woman right, child right and over all human right through social empowerment.

Objectives:

• This organization will be non-profitable and public welfare oriented.
• To conduct income generation and employment activities directly related with social elevation like agriculture, health, education, drinking water, environment, tourism etc.
• To advocate for the maximum educational opportunities of the children.
• To conduct awareness raising activities for the prevention of various social diseases as poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, social evils, uncontrolled fertility, population growth, political, social and domestic violence.
• To conduct awareness raising activities for peace building and good governance.
• To conduct various activities for the prevention of HIV/AIDS, drug addiction and sexual violence.
