Putalibazar Municipality is a municipality located in Syangja Bazaar, the headquarters of Syangja District. In 2053 BS, this municipality was established by merging five Village Development Committees of Syangja Putalibazar, Karendanda, Satupasal, Ganeshpur and Chandikali. As per the decision of the Government of Nepal dated 29th Falgun 2073 BS, in the state restructuring, the former Taksar, Paubaigaude, Thuladhi, Bahkot, Kolma, Rangbhang (1-3 and 9) and Pelkachaur (1,2,4-8) were merged into this Putalibazar Municipality, resulting in a total of 14 wards.

 

Syangja District is a hilly district under the Gandaki Province of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. Putalibazaar Municipality is located in the lap of the famous river Andhikhola in this district. In addition to the continuously flowing Andhikhola, which has mythological significance, rivers such as Badkhola, Araudikhola, Rangkhola, Piurikhola, Suraudikhola, Daraukhola, Baidikhola, Baidikhola are adding to the beauty of Putalibazaar Municipality. This municipality is located 1 hour away from Pokhara, the capital of Gandaki Province. This municipality, which starts from Bhalupahad (23 km from Pokhara) in the Pokhara-Waling section of the Siddhartha Highway, which connects Pokhara, the capital of Gandaki Province, to Sunauli in Lumbini Province, and extends to Helu, covering a distance of 27 km on the Siddhartha Highway. The office of Putalibazaar Municipality is located in Pragathinagar, Syangja Bazaar, the headquarters of Syangja district, 34 km from Pokhara. This municipality is known as an important municipality in the district in terms of culture and tourism, with religious and tourist sites such as the famous Chandisthan Temple, Gudikhola Temple, Kailash Cave, Hunikot Cave, Kharsulekh, Nuwakot, Bhalupahad, etc.
