साझा स्वास्थ्य सेवा जनसाधारणको स्वास्थ्य प्रति सचेत रही औषधिको क्षेत्रमा सहज, सरल, सुपथ र सुलभ रुपमा सेवा पु¥याउने उद्देश्यका साथ वि.स. २०२१ असार ३ मा स्थापित नेपाल सरकार भूमि व्यवस्था, सहकारी तथा गरिबी निवारण मन्त्रालय अन्र्तगतको राष्ट्रिय सहकारी विकास बोर्डबाट प्रवद्र्धित एवं कुल पूजिको लगभग ५७.२८ प्रतिशत शेयर स्वामीत्व रहेको यस संस्थाले हाल राष्ट्रभर रायः सरकारी तथा केही निजी अस्पताल र शिक्षण अस्पताल परिसर भित्र २८ वटा विक्री कक्षहरुवाट जिवनरक्षक, मनोद्धिपक Pethidine, Morphine, Fentanyl औषधिहरु लगायतका अत्यावश्यकीय औषधि स्वास्थ्य सामाग्रीहरु २४सै घण्टा खुला राखी सेवा प्रदान गर्दै आईरहेको छ । यो संस्था नेपाल सरकारको अधिकांश लगानी रहेको, औषधि बिक्री वितरणको क्षेत्रमा कृयाशील राष्ट्रिय स्तरको एक मात्र स्वास्थ्य सहकारी हो । यो संस्था सहकारी ऐन, २०७४ को परिच्छेद–२० (विविध)– दफा १३५ र सहकारी नियमावली, २०७५ को दफा ७७ अन्तर्गत संचालनमा रही उल्लेखित ऐनको दफा १३५ र नियमावलीको दफा ७७ अनुसार विशिष्टिकृत उपभोक्ता स्वास्थ्य सहकारी संस्था रहेको र सोही व्यवस्था अनुसार अध्यक्ष सहीत ३ जना सदस्य र लेखा सुपरिवेक्षण समिति संयोजक १ र २ सदस्य साधारण सभावाट निर्वाचित तथा भूमि व्यवस्था सहकारी तथा गरिबी निवारण, अर्थ र स्वास्थ्य तथा जनसंख्या मन्त्रालयवाट सहसचिव प्रतिनिधि १/१ जना, नेपाल सरकार भूमि व्यवस्था सहकारी तथा गरिबी निवारण मन्त्रालयवाट नियुक्त सदस्य १ तथा राष्ट्रिय सहकारी नियमन प्राधिकरणवाट प्रतिनिधि १ रहने गरी संचालक समिति रहेको छ ।

The objectives of this organization shall be as follows:

(a) To contribute to the economic and social advancement of its members,

(b) To provide quality medicines and pharmaceutical products in an accessible manner,

(c) To produce, import, export and purchase and sell medicines and pharmaceutical products by the organization itself or in joint venture with other bodies in accordance with the prevailing law,

(d) To develop the institution as a body capable of providing services at the national level by making it capable, strong and powerful so that it can compete with the private sector,

(e) To expand the membership and business of the organization in coordination and participation with the federal, provincial, local governments and other cooperative organizations,

(f) Institutional strengthening, capacity development,

(g) Diversifying and innovating businesses,

(h) To carry out necessary activities to improve the health of shareholders and the general public in accordance with the cooperative values ​​and norms,

(i) To provide services by supplying, selling and distributing medicines and materials to the Government of Nepal and the general public in a convenient and accessible manner in special situations such as epidemics and disasters occurring in the country.
