Located in Dudhpati-17, Bhaktapur, the Shahid Dharmabhakta National Transplant Center (SDNTC) was established in 2012 by the Ministry of Health with the aim of bolstering and broadening organ transplantation services in Nepal. The center's outdoor inauguration ceremony was led by Health Minister Rajendra Mahato, and the indoor services were officially inaugurated by Health Secretary Dr. Pravin Mishra. Initially, the center commenced its operations with outpatient and dialysis services. However, in just a few years, we have successfully expanded our services to encompass comprehensive organ transplants.

Operating under the guidance of the esteemed Senior Transplant Surgeon Dr. Pukar Chandra Shrestha, our center has made remarkable progress in the field of organ transplantation. Dr. Shrestha’s expertise and unwavering commitment have played a pivotal role in elevating our institution into a premier facility for organ transplants. Our dedicated team of professionals works diligently to deliver top-notch care to our patients, ensuring successful transplant procedures and enhancing the health and well-being of those under our care.

Apart from our core services, we have also prioritized raising awareness about organ donation and the significance of transplantation. Through various community outreach initiatives and educational programs, we strive to debunk misconceptions and encourage more individuals to donate their organs. Our endeavors have not only enriched the lives of numerous individuals but have also contributed to the progress of medical science and transplantation methodologies in Nepal.

As we progress and adapt, our dedication to excellence remains steadfast. We are committed to remaining at the forefront of medical advancements by embracing the latest technologies and adhering to the best practices in organ transplantation. Our objective is to offer patients the highest standard of care while serving as a beacon of hope for those in need of life-saving transplant procedures.
