It is situated 500 km Northwest of Nepal's capital, Kathmandu, The Shreenagar market is said to have been established 50 years ago.  "Shiva Jan Campus" at a meeting held at Shiva jan secondary School. It obtained affiliation from Tribhuvan University on 2064 BS and has been operating BBS & B Ed four years’ academic educational programs of TU as a non-profit, service-oriented community educational institution. Since 2075 BS, The Campus has also been running Masters's in English and Health Education.
