Simrik Savings and Credit Cooperative Ltd. was formally registered on 2067/10/24 B.S. (2011/02/07 A.D.) with registration number 3/1/7/524/067/068 at the Division Cooperative Office in Bhadrapur, in accordance with the Cooperative Act 2048 B.S. (1991 A.D.).

With the aim of improving the economic status of the underprivileged community, the institution was established through the collective efforts of 55 experienced individuals, investing a share capital of NPR 20,50,000 (twenty lakhs fifty thousand rupees). Initially, the institution began its operations in 5 Village Development Committees (VDCs). Currently, the institution has expanded its shareholder services in Jhapa, Ilam, Morang, and Panchthar districts, operating 46 service centers out of the 50 approved service centers. Additionally, to enhance the economic level of underprivileged women, microfinance programs are being operated through 8 service centers.
