SPG Automobiles Pvt. Ltd.is the product of the group’s passion for the automobile industry. After years of thought, the group finally plunged into the industry wholeheartedly after nissan (a brand owned by Nissan Motor) offered the group to be the channel partner in Nepal. Currently the company operates as the sole importer for Datsun brand in Nepal. The main sales outlet is in the Auto hub of Kathmandu with a state of the art 3S facility nearby. Under the guidance of the Director, the company is managed by a professional team and has a dealership network throughout the country. Currently the company markets the Datsun GO and GO+ in Nepal with more models launches expected to follow soon. The Datsun brand dates back to the earlier days of Japanese car building where it originated in 1914. The word DAT means ‘lightning-fast’ in Japanese but is also a reference to the first letters of family names of the three financiers who supported the business at the time: Den, Aoyama and Takeuchi. Using the same logic, it was promoted as Durable, Attractive and Trustworthy, or DAT for short. More than 20 million Datsun Vehicles were sold in 190 countries during its more than 50 year run. A brand supported and loved by many worldwide, this is the spirit the new Datsun brings to young risers.
