Training Institute for Technical Instruction (TITI) is located in Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, Nepal. It was established as a Nepali National Institute in November 1991 with some operational flexibility (TITI By-law, 2001) and mandated by the Act of CTEVT (CTEVT Act, 1988, Section 16). TITI is devoted to meeting the nationwide training needs of technical human resources, managers and curriculum developers in the Technical Education and Vocational Training (TEVT) sector.

Because of its cutting-edge resources (physical, human and financial) and learning environment, TITI’s recognition and reputation as an excellent institution in the national and international market are growing day by day.
TITI was initially supported by the Swiss government through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
TITI was awarded the "Knowledge Management Oscar" in 2005 for the successful Skill Card System from Swisscontact, Switzerland, and a special commendation prize for "Innovative Training Practices" in 2006 from the Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD), India.
