Universal Power Company Ltd (UPCL) is a public company incorporated on 16 Chaitra, 2067 (March 30, 2011) as per Company Acts 2063, Nepal with the objective to develop and invest in hydropower projects. It has developed Tallo Khare Khola Hydropower Project which has installed capacity of 11 MW. The project is located at Dolakha District, Gaurishanker Rural Municipality, ward no-5, 6 and 8. The company owns generation license of the project. The company's registered office is located at Tripureshwor-11, Kathmandu.

Universal Power Company Ltd (UPCL) is an ISO 9001:2015 certified company with Quality Management System applicable for "Operation and Maintenance of Hydropower Plants".

It has invested in different Hydropower projects of Nepal. Also Listed in Nepal Stock Exchange Limited as "UPCL".

Universal Power Company Ltd (UPCL) has been developing Mathillo Inkhu Khola Jal Bidyut Aayojana (24.22 M.W.) in Solukhumbu District Sotang Gaunpalika – 02 & Mapya Dudhkoshi -07 and owns its Survey License.
