According to Schedule 4 of the Constitution of Nepal, promulgated on Ashoj 3, 2072 B.S. (September 20, 2015), Nepal was divided into seven provinces. Province No. 5 includes the districts of Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta West), Rupandehi, Kapilvastu, Palpa, Arghakhanchi, Gulmi, Eastern Rukum, Rolpa, Banke, Dang, and Bardiya. To improve service delivery and transportation management, the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development was established on 2074/10/19 B.S. (February 2, 2018).
