Information regarding entrance exams for student admission

Applications are invited online from interested students who wish to enroll in the School of Engineering and affiliated colleges under the Faculty of Engineering of Sudurpaschim University for the admission of new students to undergraduate programs in the academic session 2083/084. loc

1) Number of seats

1.1) School of Engineering Mahendranagar Kanchana

B.E. Computer Engineering Program 48 students (24 on scholarship, 24 on full fee basis)

B. Architecture Program 48 students (24 on scholarship, 24 on full fee basis)

1.2) For affiliated colleges, 05 students will be awarded scholarships in each college for B.E. Civil Engineering program.

2) Minimum qualifications for application

Students who have obtained at least 45% of the total marks in the National Examination Board Secondary Level or Engineering Diploma or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized educational institution and have obtained CGPA/GPA 2 (In Scale of 4) in the Letter Grading System. Students who have obtained at least 45% in each subject in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and at least C grade in the Letter Grading System or A Level and at least D grade in the above subjects, and in the case of other subjects, students who have not obtained a minimum C grade (or a minimum D grade in the above subjects if A Level) will be eligible to participate in the entrance examination by submitting a formal application. Students who have appeared in the final examination of Class 12 or its equivalent or have appeared in the sixth semester examination of the Engineering Diploma will also be eligible to participate in the entrance examination by submitting a formal application.

3) Method of filling the application form and required documents

3.1 For student admission to the School of Engineering, Mahendranagar and scholarship quotas provided in affiliated colleges, applicants must log in to the Far West University or Faculty of Engineering website www.fwu.edu.np or www.facultyengineering.fwu.edu.nphttp://www.facultyengineering.fwu.edu.np/ Engineering Admission Open and fill out the application form and submit it through the same website.

3.2 The online form will be available on the website from 2083/03/24 to 2083/04/18. The form must be completed and submitted within the specified period.

While filling the form, the applicant will have to upload his/her personal details (parents' names, phone number, permanent address) and a photo ID issued by the Government of Nepal, such as a Nepali citizenship certificate/national identity card.

A recent passport-sized color photo with a plain background showing the full forehead must be uploaded.

Scanned copies of SEE or equivalent and NEB or equivalent educational certificates must be uploaded.

Candidates applying for inclusive scholarships at schools and affiliated campuses must have a certificate from the relevant group.

Required documents must be submitted.

The entrance examination fee is Rs. 2500. (Two thousand five hundred only in words) deposited in Nepal Bank Limited Mahendranagar branch of FWU Faculty of Engineering. The original bank voucher or a screenshot of the Transaction ID Number obtained using electronic means must be uploaded.

(Note: The amount paid for the entrance exam will not be refunded)

4. Venue and date of the entrance examination

Date: 2083/04/21 from 11 am

Location: School of Engineering Mahendranagar Kanchanpur

5. Admit card distribution

The entrance exam will be distributed from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at School of Engineering, Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur on the day of the exam. Students will have to bring their Nepali citizenship certificate/national identity card when coming to collect the admission letter. (Classes at School of Engineering, Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur will be conducted during the day shift.)

6. Entrance examination form for admission to affiliated colleges other than scholarships provided by Sudurpaschim University

The application form has been opened as follows to be managed by the colleges.

Entrance exam fee: Rs. 2500.-(Two thousand five hundred only)
