Public Notice Regarding 132 kV Electricity Transmission Line Project of Bhotekoshi-1 Hydropower Project

In Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality, Sindhupalchowk District, Bagmati Province, the promoter company Shree Electro Power Company Limited has submitted an application for a power transmission line license, specifying the details mentioned in Rule 13 of the Electricity Regulations, 2050, in accordance with the provisions of Section 4 of the Electricity Act, 2049, to construct a 1.22 km long 132 kV double circuit power transmission line from the switchyard of the under-construction Bhotekoshi-1 Hydropower Project in Ward No. 4 to Tower No. 6 (with Loop in and Loop out) of the 132 kV Power Transmission Line of the Upper Chaku A Hydropower Project located in the same district. Therefore, this notice has been published after making necessary inquiries in accordance with Rule 15 of the Electricity Regulations, 2050, specifying the details for the purpose of Rule 16.

This notice is published for the information of all concerned to submit their written comments and responses to this department or the promoter company within 35 days from the date of first publication of this notice, if the construction and operation of the proposed transmission line will have a significant adverse impact.

Project details

1. Shree Electro Power Company Limited is an organization formed under the prevailing Companies Act, 2063.

2. This transmission line will have a voltage of 132,000 volts, will be double circuit, and will be able to transmit 44 megawatts of electrical power.

3. Under this transmission line project, a 1.22 km long 132 kV double circuit transmission line will be constructed from the switchyard of the under-construction Bhotekoshi-1 Hydropower Project in Ward No. 4 of Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality of Sindhupalchowk District of Bagmati Province to Tower No. 6 of the 132 kV electricity transmission line of the Upper Chaku A Hydropower Project located in the same district (with loop in and loop out).

4. The length of this transmission line will be 1.22 km. In which 7 Steel Lattice Towers will be constructed. The maximum height of the tower will be 34 m. and the maximum distance between the towers will be 376.6 m. A total of 2.0987 hectares of land will be required for the construction of the project, out of which about 0.1575 hectares of land will be required permanently for the tower. In addition, 1.9412 hectares of land will be required for the project under the jurisdiction of the electricity route (Right of Way).

5. The right of way (ROW) of this transmission line will be maintained at 18 m (9/9 m from the midpoint, right to left) from a technical point of view, without reducing the minimum distance as prescribed in the Electricity Regulations, 2050.

6. The construction of this transmission line is targeted to be completed within 6 months.

7. While constructing and operating this transmission line, it will be constructed in a manner that does not cause significant adverse impacts on the environment due to soil erosion, flooding, air pollution, etc., in accordance with Section 24 of the Electricity Act, 2049 BS.
