The 46 MW Super Seti Hydroelectric Project, located in Saipal Ga. Pa. Ward No. 4 and 5 of Bajhang District, Sudurpaschim Province, is located between 29°50′25″ North to 29°52′00″ North latitude and 81°11′50″ East to 81015′00″ East longitude. The proposed project is a Picking River Flow Based (PROR) type project. This project will utilize the water of Seti River. The main structure of this project includes: 19 m. long and 16 m. high dam, 6 m. × 5 m under sluice, orifice type intake, one gravel trap, 160 m. long approach canal, Dufour type surface descending basin, 4280 m. long headrace tunnel, 8 m. diameter surge shaft, 133.9 m. long surface penstock pipe, 45 m. × 15 m. The project will consist of a surface power house of 551 m in size, a tailrace pipe of 15.33 m.w., 3 turbines with a rated capacity of 15.33 m.w., 3 generators with a capacity of 18.06 m.w., 3 transformers with a frequency of 50 Hz and a switch yard. The design discharge of the project (Q32.5%) is 17.0 cubic meters per second with a gross head of 340.89 m. This will increase the power generation capacity of the project to 46 m.w. or megawatts. The generated power will be connected to the Bajhang Substation (400 k.v. RPGCL) from the project's switchyard through a 132 k.v. single circuit.
