Invitation for sealed bids for providing internet service to project households

Development Project Service Centre (DPSC-Nepal) is a non-governmental organization. This organization, with the financial support of Jersey Overseas Aid (JOA) and the leadership of Practical Action, is implementing the Empowering Women Farmers with Digital Finance, Nepal (Samunnati-Digital Finance Project) in 8 local levels of Dang, Rolpa and Rukum East. Out of the 5,500 households served by this project, about 2800 households have been provided with internet service and have been enabled to use financial services, market connectivity and information services through digital technology. Currently, the local levels of Rolpa district are Triveni LGA, Runtigadhi LGA, Parivartan LGA and Thawang LGA. In addition, for the extension of services to additional households of farmers in Putha G.P.A and Bhume G.P.A of Rukum East District, in coordination with the above-mentioned local levels, internet service is required in 600 households and the service will be purchased and provided on a cost-sharing basis with the farmers' households, so sealed bids have been invited from interested internet service providers. Eligible internet service providers are requested to submit sealed bids specifying the following items to Deprox-Nepal P.O. Box No. 10953, Kathmandu or the project office, Dang, within office hours on 2082/03/17.
1. Proof of providing some kind of internet service at the local level in Rolpa and Rukum East districts must be attached.
2. The number of local level households to which the project will provide internet service is approximately 600.
3. The project aims to serve 600 households and is currently collecting data on households interested in using the internet service. The project will provide some subsidy on the annual internet fee to connect these families to the internet service. After the completion of this phase, if additional households demand internet service, up to a maximum of 15% of the current number of households will have to be connected under these terms and conditions by making supplementary agreements.
4. The sealed envelope will be opened simultaneously at the Central Office of Deprox-Nepal, Thapathali, Kathmandu and the Project Office in Dang on 208220319 at 11.00 AM. If that day falls on a public holiday, it will be opened at the same time the next day.
5. The service provider must come to the office within 1 week of being informed that the project has been selected and sign the agreement. The service provider must comply with the specified conditions and connect the service to 600 households within 2 months of the agreement.

7. Along with the sealed bid, the applicant firm's legal documents and certificates including registration, renewal, tax payment, etc. should be submitted. Along with the bid, a deposit of Rs. 1,00,000 should be deposited in the account number of Nabil Bank Ltd. 9601017500110 and a copy of the original voucher should also be submitted.
Sealed bids that do not include the above details or are unclear will not be included in the competition. If necessary, the organization may divide the work among the applicants and make an agreement.
