On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), GIZ is implementing two technical cooperation projects, 'Support to the Health Sector Strategy (S2HSS II)' and Support to the Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (S2GESI) Strategy from July 2024 to June 2027. The S2HSS II programme supports the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) to implement the Nepal Health Sector Strategic Plan (NHSSP) (2023-2030). The S2GESI project supports the MoHP and selected municipalities in implementing the National Strategy on Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) in the health sector (2080).

The S2GESI project aims to improve access to gender-equitable health services for women, persons with disabilities, Dalits, and other marginalized groups by mainstreaming GESI in the health sector and addressing supply and demand side barriers to ensure access to health and related services. The project is being implemented in Alital Rural Municipality, Panchadewal Binayak Municipality, and Triveni Municipality in Sudurpashchim Province, as well as Jhimruk Rural Municipality, Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City, and Bijaynagar Rural Municipality in Lumbini Province.

In aligning with the project objective, S2GESI is planning to strengthen the capacity of elected representatives and officials of the municipalities and provinces to integrate GESI principles into planning, governance, and service delivery by applying inclusive approaches, engaging women and marginalised groups, and developing practical, context-specific action plans in the selected municipalities and provinces of Nepal.

GIZ/S2GESI is soliciting proposals/bids from interested firms/companies.

Eligible criteria: The company/organization should

Be registered with the Government of Nepal and have a PAN/VAT certificate as well as a latest tax clearance certificate.

The average annual turnover for the past three fiscal years must be a minimum of NPR 8 million.

List of reference projects on similar area of work (at least 3).

The average number of employees over the past three years must be at least 5.

A complete set of the tender documents can be obtained upon submission of a formal application, sent to the following email address NP_Inquiry@giz.de or get free of charge directly from GIZ Office Kathmandu, before 8th September 2025, 5:00pm. The application should include: A copy of VAT/PAN certificate with latest tax clearance, annual turnover evidence, list of reference projects and organizational HR profile as mentioned under the eligibility criteria.

The bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope labeled "Tender No. 83496303 - GESI Strengthening Capacity Package", to the following address no later than 15th September 2025, 5:00 pm.
