1. Nepal Red Cross Society, with the support from Red Cross Society of China, has allocated funds towards the cost of Retrofitting of NRCS Training cum Activity building and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the Contract. Bidding is open to all eligible Bidders.

Nepal Red Cross Society invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the construction of the Retrofitting of NRCS Training cum Activity building under National Competitive Bidding procedures.

Only eligible bidders with the following key qualifications should participate in this bidding:

a) Minimum Average Annual Construction Turnover of the past 3 years: NRs. 10,000,000.00

b) Minimum Work experience of: One project value not less than NRs. 10,000,000.00 in the last five (5) years.

c) Bidders should have following specific experience:

Experience in retrofitting of one building.

2. A complete set of Bidding Documents can be purchased from Procurement Management Section, Nepal Red Cross Society, NHQ, Red Cross Marg, Kalimati, Kathmandu by eligible Bidders on the submission of a written application, along with the copy of company/firm registration certificate and VAT Certificate, Tax clearance and against payment of a non-refundable fee of NRs 7,000.00 (seven Thousand) till 16 September 2025.

3. Sealed bids must be submitted to Nepal Red Cross Society, NHQ, Red Cross Marg, Kalimati, Kathmandu on or before 16 September 2025, during office hours with copies of all required updated legal documents and all other related documents.

4. The Technical sealed bids will be opened in the presence of Bidders' representatives who choose to attend at 2:00 pm on 17 September 2025. at the office of Procurement and Management Section, Nepal Red Cross Society, Red Cross Road, Kalimati, Kathmandu. The bid will be opened in specified time and date even if the bidders' representative fails to attend in the bid opening due to any reasons. Bids must be valid for a period of 90 days after bid opening and must be accompanied by a bid security, amounting to a minimum of 2.5% of total quoted value including 13% VAT, which shall be valid for 120 days. Financial bids of technically qualified bidders only be opened after evaluation of technical bids evaluation.

5. If the last date of purchasing and/or submission falls on a government holiday, then the next working day shall be considered as the last date. In such case the validity period of the bid security shall remain the same as specified for the original last date of bid submission.

6. The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, without thereby incurring any liability to Bidders.

If you request additional information, we would endeavour to provide information expeditiously, but any delay in providing such information will not be considered a reason for extending the submission date of the bids.
