Public Notice of Invitation for Confidential Sealed Bids for the Purchase of Transportation Vehicles (Buses)

A public notice has been published for the submission of confidential sealed bids for the purchase of two-shafted transport vehicles (diesel buses) with a capacity of 30 to 42 seats for the transportation of students studying at Shree Sharda Secondary School located at Bherigana-12, Chhinchu, Surkhet district, by 2082.04.28, as follows:

Procedures:

1.) The owner, firm or his authorized representative who wishes to sell the vehicle (bus) must register it within school hours along with all the documents related to the vehicle (vehicle's blue book, purchase bill, tax payment, third party insurance and other necessary photocopies (to be submitted later).

2.) Interested vehicle owners, the firm should purchase and fill out the bid form published by the school, clearly written in both figures and words, stating the bus currently in operation, the last maintenance bill, the year of purchase, the mileage driven so far, the bus model, chassis number, company card, company warranty guarantee card, insurance, tax payment documents up to 2081/082, details of the main parts replaced, the period for which the vehicle can be maintained and the warranty guarantee, and the price they want to sell. 1000.- (non-refundable) along with the above-mentioned documents, and submit a confidential sealed bid.

3.) An original copy of the evaluation of the means of transport (bus) immediately by a registered mechanical engineer registered with the Government of Nepal must be attached to the bid document. This is mandatory.

4.) When transferring the name of a school under the name of the owner or firm operating the means of transport (bus), the bid should clearly state whether or not the bus will be sold by covering all the necessary expenses, including the prescribed registration fees, taxes, etc.

5.) The warranty period of the main machinery items such as chassis, gear box, crown box, tires, etc., other than the incidental expenses that may arise during use, should also be disclosed in the bid. The agreement should be made at the time of purchase and sale. Any excuses or hesitation in the agreed upon matters will not be considered appropriate after the purchase and sale.

6.) The committee formed as per the decision of the School Management Committee of this school held on 2082.03.21 will have the authority to open the bids registered during school hours in the presence of the vehicle owner, firm or their official representative and to approve or reject the received bids.

7.) As per the approved bid, a deposit of five percent of the bid amount (net of tax) along with a performance bond of at least 1 year validity along with the original voucher deposited in the school's Kumari Bank account No. 227024675730003 shall be made. As per the decision made by the above-mentioned committee, after an agreement is reached between the vehicle owner, the firm or its designated official representative and the school, the bus will be painted and given to the school in the name of the school. The school will provide the bid amount (net of tax) as per the agreement in two installments.

8.) The vehicle owner will have to bear the tax on the amount as per the purchase and sale agreement.

9.) Other matters shall be as per the Financial Act and Regulations of the Government of Nepal, Public Procurement Act and Regulations, Education Act and Regulations, and the Financial and Education Act and Regulations of Bheriganga Municipality.

(Note: If the bus or vehicle you want to buy or sell has any bank installments, damages, loans, or other outstanding payments to other parties or individuals or financial institutions, please do not bother the owner or firm.)
