We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Portfolio Officer to assist in managing NEPSE stock portfolio . The role includes handling company and market research, secondary market purchases/sales, applying in the primary market (IPOs/FPOs/rights), managing the Mero Share account, and maintaining investment portfolio. The officer will also be responsible for coordinating and visiting broker offices as per requirement. A sound understanding of Nepal's capital market and trading platforms is essential.'
 
Job Responsibilities
  • Execute buy/sell transactions in the secondary market.
  • Apply for investment opportunities in the primary market such as IPOs, FPOs, and rights issues.
  • Maintain and operate the Mero Share account, including corporate actions like dividend claims, rights application, and share transfers.
  • Provide regular reports on portfolio performance, including investment summaries and tracking of key holdings.
  • Visit broker offices as per requirement for tasks such as document submission, KYC updates, account handling, and trade confirmations.
  • Coordinate with brokers and financial institutions regarding trading, demat accounts, and investment opportunities.
  • Stay updated with capital market trends, new IPOs/FPOs, and regulatory changes.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant investment and trading rules, and maintain confidentiality in all financial dealings.
  • Organize and maintain documentation related to the portfolio and investment transactions.

 


 
Preferred skills and qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in stock trading, portfolio management, or investment operations.
  • Strong knowledge and interest in NEPSE, Mero Share, TMS, and capital market operations.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Analytical thinking with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Trustworthy, responsible, and discreet with sensitive financial information.
  • Must be flexible to travel to broker offices or other financial institutions as needed.
  • Must own a bike and hold a valid driving license.
  • Female candidates will be given preference.
