Established in 1990, Banke UNESCO Club is a non-government organization and registered under the District Administration Office, Banke and affiliated to Social Welfare Council, Kathmandu, The establishment of the organization has been inspired by the ideals of non-violence, social justice, self-reliance, sustainable development and volunteerism. The organization is dedicated to the ideals of holistic and integrated development based on a harmonious balance of socio-culture, material, scientific environmental aspects and increase in literacy rate of Disadvantaged, Marginalized, Deprived, and other Poorest of Poorer groups (POP) including women and child by providing quality education.

 

Banke UNESCO Club partnership with Plan International Nepal, is implementing Girls Standing Strong (GSS) Program in Bardiya district. The overall purpose of the project is that the management and coordinating with stakeholders including partner for achieving project goal and results. The focus will be capacity building of target groups, changing social norms and system strengthening in the project area for ensuring rights of children, adolescent, girl and young women whereby they live and lead their life with dignity in development and humanitarian settings. Banke UNESCO Club will work directly with children, adolescent people, poor families, local bodies, formers group, schools, child clubs, youth clubs and all relevant community and district level stakeholders in Bardiya District.

 

Banke UNESCO Club is inviting applications from interested, qualified and experienced candidates for the following positions to implement the project.

 

Title: Finance Coordinator (FC) (Bardiya)

Duration: July 2023 to June 2026

 


 

Description/Primary Responsibilities

Finance Coordinator (FC) is responsible for recording and reporting financial transaction with ensuring compliance with donor rules, regulation according to Nepal Government Laws and Organizational Policies related to activities implemented under Girls Standing Strong (GSS) Program in Bardiya district.

 


 

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in relevant field with 3 years working experience in relevant area or Bachelor's degree with 5 years working experience in relevant area
  • Knowledge of current government's tax policies and labor laws.
  • Competent in computer skills Microsoft office specially in the use of MS Excel and any other accounting software
  • Knowledge of accounting, auditing system and financial monitoring system
  • Oral fluency in English and Nepali language for communication and also report writing skill in English is a must
  • Prior experience in managing Plan International Nepal funds will be an added advantage
