Banke UNESCO Club is inviting applications from interested, qualified and experienced candidates for the following positions to implement the project.

Description/Primary Responsibilities : 

The Project Officer (PO) is responsible for the effective implementation, monitoring, and reporting of all project activities under the Girls Standing Strong (GSS) Program in Bardiya District. The PO will work to ensure that girls experience a significant reduction in gender-based violence, discriminatory social norms, and harmful practices. This includes creating safe community environments free from child marriage, child trafficking, child labor, and violations of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). The PO will also support the formation and sustainability of Adolescent Girls' Clubs (AGC) and other community-based initiatives. The role demands efficient program management, timely execution of activities, and rigorous documentation and reporting to ensure impact and accountability.

 


 

Required Skills and Qualifications :

  1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of three years' experience in a leadership role within relevant project implementation..
  2. Proven experience in community development, education, protection, and emergency response project management.
  3. Practical experience working in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Adolescent Girls' Clubs (AGC), child marriage prevention, and broader child protection initiatives.
  4. Knowledge and experience in cash and voucher assistance (CVA) programming and Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) approaches.
  5. Familiarity with WASH, nutrition, education, and child protection sectors, with the ability to integrate cross-sectoral approaches.
  6. Understanding of project management processes, including planning, budgeting, and financial operations.
  7. Skilled in project monitoring, data collection and analysis, and producing clear and timely narrative reports.
  8. Proficiency in using basic office equipment and computer applications, particularly MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  9. Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and Nepali, with demonstrated ability in report writing.
  10. Experience in working with and coordinating among local government bodies (palikas), community stakeholders, and partner organizations.
