For our global digital transformation and IT department we are looking for an Azure Engineer located in Kathmandu, Nepal to join our organisation as per August 2025 or upon agreement. Position : Azure Engineer

Duty station: Kathmandu, Nepal

Duration: Initially three years with a possibility of extension.

Salary and Benefits: As per rules and regulations of Helvetas Nepal.

 Main tasks

• Manage and monitor the Azure and MS365 infrastructure of Helvetas, Collaborate closelywith an external IT partner to ensure smooth operations,
• Provide and maintain the right infrastructure services to support applications and projects,
• Track and manage Azure consumption costs to ensure cost-efficiency,
• Lead infrastructure projects or take responsibility for the infrastructure component of application projects,
• Act as the sole in-house Azure Engineer, ensuring high levels of autonomy and ownership,
• Implement best practices for infrastructure management and monitoring,
•  Work closely with project teams to understand their infrastructure needs and provide appropriate solutions,
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or arelated field; a master's degree will be an advantage.
• Relevant certifications in Microsoft Azure and MS365, min. 2-3years of experience in implementing and operating Azure Services in an Enterprise environment is a plus.
• Experience in defining, implementing and monitoring security measures on Azure, Experience in Azure Cost management,
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, Structured way of working, Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
• Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and external partners,
• Dynamic and innovation-oriented personality with a learning mindset, 
• High awareness for quality and service-orientation, Good level of personal resilience and ability to manage complexity/ambiguity,
• Capacity to adapt to changing requirements and circumstances and propose pragmatic solution.
