JICA Nepal Office invites applications from interested and qualified candidates for the position of Senior Project Officer.

 

ELIGIBILITY

  • Minimum master's degree, preferably in Public Health, Medicine, Health Sciences, and any other related areas. A doctoral degree will be an added advantage.
  • Extensive knowledge in the areas of maternal, newborn, and child health.
  • More than 10 years professional experience in the related field, preferably in the areas of Maternal, Newborn and Child Health or any related areas. Working experience in or closely with the Ministry of Health and Population will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in writing official reports and preparing presentations in both English and Nepali. Experience in document translation in Nepali and English will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to facilitate high-level workshops and meetings in both English and Nepali. Experience in interpreting such events will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including communication, coordination, negotiation, and teamwork in a culturally diverse environment.
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software.
  • Ability to travel to project sites frequently.

  • There is no specific CV format. However, it should include all your academic and professional history, publications (if any), and the names and contact information of two referees. It should not be more than eight pages.
  • The cover letter is limited to only one page, in which you must clearly explain that you meet all the eligibility criteria.

Note: If the candidate's payment requirement is higher than our internally set ceiling price, the candidate will not proceed to the next stage of the selection process.

 

Step 2: Only successful applicants will be contacted by the MCHHB Project to the email address provided in the form by 19 May, 2025 for an interview.

Step 3: All interviewees will be informed of the result by the MCHHB Project either by phone or by email by the end of May 2025
