Position : CEO 

Role Overview: The CEO will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to NWCL, reporting to the Board of Directors. The role is pivotal in driving growth, ensuring operational excellence, and achieving financial sustainability.

Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Vision:
   1. Develop and execute short-and medium-term strategies aligned with NWCL's vision to enhance stakeholder value.
   2. Ensure implementation of strategic initiatives that support long-term objectives and sustainable growth.
   3. Assume overall responsibility for the company's Profit & Loss (P&L) performance.
2. Business Growth & Development:
   • Oversee all operational activities to ensure efficient resource allocation, cost management, and quality compliance.
   • Monitor market dynamics and identify opportunities to expand product offerings and market presence.
   • Foster innovation and lead initiatives to introduce new business models and commercial
   • warehousing capabilities.
3. Financial & Risk Management:

   • Review financial reports and operational metrics to drive and achieve financial targets.
   • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Imanage risks effectively.
   • Direct fiscal activities, including budgeting, reporting, monitoring, and auditing.
4. Stakeholder Management:
   
   • Keep the Board of Directors informed about company performance, market opportunities, and significant developments.
   • Build strategic partnerships with government entities, financial institutions, regulators, and other stakeholders to advance the warehousing industry in Nepal.
5. Technology & Infrastructure Development:

Introduce best-in-class warehousing technologies to optimize operations and achieve cost efficiencies.

• • Evaluate global technological advancements for adaptation in the local context, ensuring competitive advantage.

Qualifications 

Education: Degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields. MBA or advanced degree is advantageous.

Experience

• Minimum 15+ years of experience in commodity trading, warehousing, logistics management, distribution management, and collateral management.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in pledge funding operation and management via Warehouse receipt financing.
• At least 5 years in a senior management role with P&L responsibility.
• Proven track record in strategic planning, business development, and financial management.

Skills

• Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize effectively, and delegate responsibilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of finance, budgeting, and banking operations.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance standards.

Note: The CEO will be based at NWCL's Head Office in Parsagadhi-3, Biruwaguthi, Parsa district with frequent travel to project units in Aurabani, Sunsari, and Birpur, Kapilvastu.
