Shikhar Secondary School, a community school located in Ramghat, Bheriganga Municipality. Is seeking application from qualified and experienced Nepali citizens for tha following position under the infrastructure Development for Quality Education and school support project in Nepal, supported by the Um Hong Gil Human Foundation.

Reporting To: School management Committee (SMC), Bheriganga Municipality, Surkhet, and Um Hong Gil Human Foundation, Kathmandu

Key Responsibilities

•  Take Overall responsibility for project site management, including operation, construction management, Human resource management, and reportiong.
• Conduct meetings with all stakeholders, including the school management committee government agencies, to confirm project requirements and implementation.
• Ensure effection management of time, cost, quality, safety, and security aspects of the peoject.
•  Interpret technical drawings and prepare tender and E-bid documents in accordance with Government of Nepal PPMO guidelines.
• Ensure all work complies with national standards and best construction practices of the Government of Nepal.
•  Prepare work plans and supervise the support team daily, ensuring tasks are performed efficiently and in compliance with safety guidelines.
• Ensure that all raw materials used meet the approved Bill of Quantities (BOQ)and specifications.
• Coordinate closely with the SMC, Contractors, and local government authorities to-implement project activities effectively.
• Prepare and compile detailed technical documentation, including periodic progress reports and contractor payment reports, and submit them to the School Management and Foundation office as required
• Demonstrate strong planning, coordination, monitoring, and organizational skills with a proactive and result-oriented approach.

Qualifications and Requirements

•  Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a valid professional engineering license.
•  Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office package and AutoCAD.
•  Strong technical knowledge in construction engineering, including drawing interpretation, cost estimation, financial projection, work planning, monitoring &evaluation, labor management, contractor payment, and report writing.
•  Familiarity with Government of Nepal policies, including public procurement (PPOMO\e-bidding), and standards for public building construction -preferably in schools and WASH-related activities.
•  Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience in NGOs\INGOs\government projects.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with limited resources.
•  Good command of English (both written and spoken).
• Preference with be given to candidates with experience across the full project cycle of building construction and WASH projects (design, planning, implementation, budgeting, reporting, BoQ preparation, and site supervision.
