Position: Country Head, Nepal

Duty Station: Kathmandu, Nepal 

Type: Full-time

Experience Required: Minimum 10 years

Educational Qualifications

• MBBS from a recognized institution; MPH (Epidemiology) or MSc (Applied Epidemiology) preferred.
• Graduation from Advanced FETP required; Frontline/Intermediate FETP training may count toward the required experience.

Key Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 10 years' experience in field epidemiology, public health surveillance, or outbreak response, including senior/advisory roles within a national FETP or public health institution.
• Experience leading FETP curriculum development and training delivery (Frontline, Intermediate, and/or Advanced levels).
• Experience managing national disease surveillance systems (e.g., influenza, cholera, Nipah, anthrax, event-based/hotline surveillance).
• Experience in immunization surveillance (AEFI, cold chain evaluation, coverage assessments) and outbreak response coordination (case investigation, contact tracing).
• Experience mentoring FETP residents/mentors or supporting FETP programs internationally is an advantage.
• Teaching/research experience in public health or epidemiology is an advantage.
• Fluency in English proficiency an asset.
• Strong analytical, coordination, and report-writing skills.

Priority shall be given to Nepalese employees.
