Position Overview

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and oversee-ing marketing strategies to strengthen.

The Himalayan Times' market presence, increase readership, and drive advertising revenues. The role requires strategic thinking, and strong client relationship management to position the newspaper as the leading choice for advertisers and readers.

 


 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in media, advertising, or publishing.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, branding, and customer engagement.
  • Proven track record in developing successful campaigns and client proposals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing, analytics, and MS Office tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Leadership skills with experience managing teams.

 


 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and growth opportunities.
  • Prepare and execute annual marketing plans and promotional calendars.
  • Enhance and maintain The Himalayan Times' brand image and market positioning.
  • Oversee design, content, and execution of marketing campaigns across print, digital, and social media platforms.
  • Ensure consistency in brand communication across all channels.
  • Develop creative marketing proposals and packages for clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with advertisers, agencies, and corporate partners.
  • Drive initiatives to increase advertising revenue and expand the client base.
  • Plan and execute promotional events, sponsorships, and reader engagement activities.
  • Coordinate with editorial and events teams for cross-promotional opportunities.
  • Lead and mentor the marketing team to achieve departmental targets.
  • Monitor team performance and ensure timely execution of campaigns.
  • Track campaign performance, readership growth, and revenue results.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to management with recommendations for improvement.
