Organization: Nepal Federation of Savings and Credit Cooperative Unions Ltd. (NEFSCUN)

Location: Kathmandu, Nepal (with possible field visits)

Duration: Project-based

NEFSCUN is seeking a committed and experienced High-Level Expert to support our ongoing mission of strengthening Nepal's cooperative sector through policy, institutional capacity development, and technical guidance with business development.

Who we're looking for

A seasoned professional with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

• Cooperative Governance and Regulation
• Financial Inclusion and Microfinance
• Cooperative Risk Management and Internal Control
• Training and Capacity Building
• Policy Advocacy and Strategic Planning
• Business Development

Qualifications

• At least master degree completed.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in cooperative finance, microfinance, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of Nepal's cooperative landscape and regulatory environment.
• Proven experience working with cooperative unions or financial institutions in an international organization.
• Excellent communication, mentoring, and facilitation skills.
• Willingness to contribute pro bono in a volunteer capacity.

Key Requirements

• Provide expert advice and technical support to NEFSCUN leadership and member organizations.
• Contribute to research, policy formulation, or capacity-building initiatives.
• Facilitate trainings or workshops as needed.
• Support NEFSCUN's strategic objectives and strengthen cooperative resilience.
