Job Description

• Report on sports news including matches, tournaments, press conferences, training sessions, and athlete profiles.
• Cover both domestic and international sports - including cricket, football, volleyball, martial arts, and others relevant in the Nepali context.
• Attend live matches and events to provide real-time updates, match summaries, and post-match reports.
• Conduct interviews with athletes, coaches, officials, and sports analysts.
• Write news stories, feature articles, and opinion pieces with accuracy, fairness, and clarity.
• Track and analyze performance data, stats, and records to enhance story depth.
• Maintain strong relationships with sports organizations, clubs, associations, and athletes.
• Collaborate with photographers, videographers, and digital teams for multimedia content production.
• Monitor social media trends and fan reactions for engaging story ideas.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Sports Management, or a related field.
• Prior experience in sports reporting is preferred
• Strong command of Nepali and/or English (writing and speaking).
• Knowledge of sports rules, teams, athletes, and current issues in Nepal and beyond.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and cover late-night or weekend events.
