Chief Credit Officer

Position: Chief Credit Officer

Level: Managerial

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Institution's credit appraisal and credit risk management functions.
• Review and evaluate credit proposals to ensure compliance with the Company's Credit Policy and NRB Directives.
• Conduct financial, business, industry, and risk analysis to assess borrowers' creditworthiness.
• Ensure quality, consistency, and timely processing of credit appraisal reports.
• Monitor the overall quality of the credit portfolio and identify emerging risks.
• Coordinate with Business Units, Risk Management, Legal, Compliance, Credit Administration, and Recovery Departments.
• Contribute to the review and enhancement of credit policies, procedures, and risk management practices.

Qualification & Experience

• Master's Degree in Management, Finance, Banking, Accounting, or a related discipline (Bachelor's degree with exceptional experience may also be considered).
• Minimum 10 years of banking experience, Creditor lending operations in a Bank or Financial Institution, including at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, analytical, decision-making, and report-writing skills.
