Reintegration and Economic Mobility through Inclusive Public Employment Services (ReMi) Project, Phase II (subject to the approval of the ReMi Phase II) is a bilateral initiative between the Governments of Nepal and Switzerland. It is implemented by the Ministry of Youth, Labour and Employment (MoYLE), respective provincial line ministries and participating local governments. The project is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and Helvetas Nepal provides technical assistance.

Helvetas Nepal invites applications from dynamic and committed Nepali citizens for the following positions (subject to the approval of the ReMi Phase II)

Position: Driver

Salary and Benefits: As per the rules and regulation of Helvetas Nepal.

Duty Station: Remi Project Office, Lalitpur

Duration: Initially for 3 years

Job purpose

• To drive vehicles as per schedule, taking full responsibility for the safety of employees (passengers), vehicles and other materials
• To be responsible for the care and maintenance of vehicles
• To provide all possible assistance to employees while going to the field and during travel
• To assist in other office tasks as needed.

Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies

• At least S.L.C./S.E. Passed, at least 3 years of experience driving vehicles in hilly and Terai areas
• Light Vehicle (four-wheeler) driving license
• Eye test by a doctor and certificate of fitness to drive
• Sensitive to ethnic and gender issues and commitment to working easily in groups with different cultural identities
• Able to write and speak Nepali and plain English.
